About

The purposes of Freedom From Religion Foundation – East Tennessee, Inc. (FFRF-ETC), as stated in its bylaws, are to promote the constitutional principle of separation of state and church, and to educate the public on matters relating to nontheism.

FFRF-ETC was incorporated in 2016 in Tennessee as a Chapter of FFRF, which is the nation’s largest freethought association with approximately 40,000 freethinkers: atheists, agnostics and skeptics of any pedigree. Approximately 500 of those members are from Tennessee.

Freedom From Religion Foundation – East Tennessee is a non-profit, tax-exempt, educational organization under Internal Revenue Code 501(c )(3). All contributions are deductible to the extent allowed by the law.

FFRF provides a stipend of $5/year to FFRF-ETC for Tennessee members of FFRF who are also members of our local chapter, so please join us here.
