One of the most important functions of Freedom From Religion Foundation – East Tennessee (FFRF-ETC) is to protect the First Amendment, which states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”
It is incumbent upon our members to be vigilant for violations of the wall of separation. Violations can be reported directly to national FFRF representatives, but it is even better to report those violations to FFRF-ETC, first!
Reasons to report to FFRF-ETC:
- First, FFRF-ETC is here to listen to you and assure that what you have observed is truly a violation. Please, do not be shy with your questions or reports!
- Then, FFRF-ETC will track down documentation to share with the attorneys at FFRF’s national office to expedite their work.
- Finally, FFRF-ETC will share with you progress made on your complaint.
- Let’s work together to keep religion out of our government agencies.
Benefits of reporting to FFRF-ETC:
- Your report will rise to the top of the long queue of reported violations that FFRF receives.
- You will gain an added layer of anonymity, if you’d like it. Our reports to national offices contain no identifying information about the complainant. We will never publish the identity of contributors unless expressly requested to do so.
- We would love to hear from you privately, or at our next event.
Please make a report here.
